  1. I feel Manpans’ pain here. Betrayal is such a fun game, but everyone gets bored 5 minutes into explaining the rules. Then when they insist we start they make incorrect assumptions and we end up having a mediocre time. It’s a catch-22.

  2. Whenever I play betrayal with new people I explain the pre-haunt rules first by mostly abbreviating to:
    1) You can move your speed
    2) You want your stats to go up (trust me)
    3) When you discover a room with a symbol, draw that card.

    Then when the haunt starts I just explain the rules pertaining to that haunt and make sure none of the new people are the traitor.

    I think it’s one of the easier games to just jump right in to.
