That’s not even a real excuse. I have flat feet too, and they’re so narrow that they tend to rattle around inside most shoes. Flat feet are not your problem here, dude.
I don’t like skating either. The last time I tried it, my ankles started hurting before I got two feet on the ice, and I just knew I was going to fall on my face if I let go of the wall.
Actually just found the link to a pic of the ones I use…
They’re called Superfeet Yellow Premium Insoles…. They work pretty well for me!
At this store they are $45 approx. http://www.theinsolestore.com/hockey-skate-insoles.html

My BUTT doesn’t like skating.
re Flat Feet.
I have ’em. For most things… I have orthotics inside shoes.
But for skates… definitely need some kind of orthotic or something else like it.
For skates you can get an insert/ that usually does the trick at skate shops. I think including at Play it again sports… Seems to me that the price might fall in the $15-$40 range.
Here’s a link to a bunch of pics of them. https://www.google.ca/search?q=skate+orthotics&espv=2&biw=1524&bih=775&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjvuu2o_MjJAhVIpx4KHX67ANoQ_AUIBigB
