What a full day we had yesterday! We also went with my cousin Memes. I need to make her a character.
She got Keren, Ekko and Zoe batman kigurumis (onesies). They were amazing!
Anyway, Ekko and Zoe had a large popcorn each. Good grief. And then afterwards we went for Korean food because I wanted to introduce Ekko to pork bone soup. Yummy! We went to a restaurant called Owl of Minerva, and each table has a call button to get a hold of a waiter! It was awesome!
BTW, sorry the comic was so late today. Had a huge headache last night, and then we slept in! I think I got almost ten hours of sleep. Wow!
My poor wife has been sleeping on a hospital chair for the last five days. And my girls left last night to stay with some friends while I’m away at work all day. I’m all alone! I probably should clean the house.
We had our dress rehearsal last night with all the actors and a beta team! I got to sing with Debs and it was a lot of fun seeing the actors interact and improv!
I can’t wait until Saturday for our Speakeasy Escape Event! It will be awesome!
Leezet wanted to do a comic for my birthday, so she sent me a comic which she put together by searching through the comics and cutting and pasting them.
And then, to create her daughter Joy, she took Zoe and messed up her hair with the note: “Zoe and Joy look similar except Joy is darker with messier black hair.”
In the end, I just redid the comic. I guess I have a Joy character now.
Now, you may wonder why Joy has a heart for a symbol. When she was younger, she was explaining to one of my children how something ‘hurt her heart’. Me, being the sensitive asian that I am broke out into laughter. That didn’t help matters at all.
I’m surprised Leezet allows me to be around her daughter at times.
I remember wondering if we should do another Escape Room that night. Ekko reminded us that she needed to get to bed. Good grief.
Of course, we were two hours ahead because of the whole time zone thing. So 12am is 2am our time.
And yes, Leezet is an awesome sister. She paid for us. ^_^ (At least, eventually paid for us!)
Now, to be fair, she did offer twice and he said that we could pay later.
