This weekend has been busy. Watched some anime with my girls and then went out with Keren. Last night, went to see Trevor Noah (comedian) and he was hilarious. We also went apple picking. Well, I didn’t go apple picking. I just sat in the car.
And today, have a birthday party I am attending!
And I called my mom. Well, my mom called when I was talking to my sister, so we went on a group call. Her birthday is on the 29th. I remember now…
I’m also trying to decide whether or not to do Nanowrimo this year. It’s a difficult decision! I feel like I’d be letting Nano down, or failing a responsibility, or something. Skipping camp is one thing, but skipping Nano? I…I…just don’t know if I can live with myself if I skip it.
And of course, that’s not even taking extra Nano stuff (like creating cartoons) into consideration. So I feel for you. I’d miss the Nanotoons, but you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do!
I’ve skipped some years of NaNo before and survived. Of course, I wish now I hadn’t, but mostly because lack of ideas is the reason I skipped them. Except that one year I had a baby while still homeschooling the older one. Skipping that year was probably for the best.
Normally, though, I’m telling people that even if they’re short on time, they should at least try it anyway. Even if you don’t win, it can be fulfilling. However, since this is Errol we’re talking about…you very well MAY need a break for a while.
Sometimes your spouse knows what you need before you do.
Of course, if not for the mention of Nanotoons, this same conversation could have slotted quite neatly into Kari’s old West of Bathurst comics…
Does your wife have a problem with you doing NanoWrimo?!?!?!
