The thing to do in Japan during the New Year’s holiday is to visit a shrine. The first shrine we tried had an insane line up. We went for lunch and then went to a smaller shrine which didn’t have a long line up. I forgot the name of the shrine.
Actually, I never knew the name of the shrine to forget, so, not unlike any other day really. I just stumble around.
