Do they still do food pyramids? Do they still teach it in school? I guess I could ask my kids. Or, I can google that. But why when I have all you fine people?

Panel 1 (In Manpan's Discord) -
Leezet: Is Keren away?
Errol: Yeah. It's just Ekko and I at home.

Panel 2 -
Leezet: Thank goodness Ekko cooks.
Errol: I can live on fruit and corn.

Panel 3 -
Leezet: I meant there's hope you'll eat more than one food group.
Errol: Corn isn't fruit! Aren't you a doctor?
Margaux: They're all part of the same food group.

Panel 4-
Errol: Ohhhhh, right. I believe Margaux because she's a photographer.
Leezet: Shut up, jerk!
Margaux: Admittedly, I haven't seen a food pyramid in years.

  1. Although often eaten as a vegetable, corn is a grain. Thinking of it as a vegetable would tempt people to put it into the “fruits and vegetables” group…but they’d be putting it there incorrectly…because corn is a grain.

  2. I googled and got three answers – fruit, vegetable, AND grain – which seem based upon who you ask (botanist, nutritionist, etc.), when harvested, and a plethora of other qualifiers. Ugh.

I am going to call it food and eat it in moderation. 🙂 After I pop a big bowl of it for my dessert tonight.
