Poor love, she has a hard time buying gifts for me. I’ve been asking around, and it seems a lot of wives have problems buying for their husbands.

  1. I certainly do. But this year….if I pull it off – there will be a “TARDIS” waiting when he returns from visiting his family (I had to work). Not an accurate one, but I found a cabinet at a local second-hand place that has the right look (and a light fixture for the top) – have spent the last few days prepping so I can start painting today. Yes – I’m excited about my project (annoyed that I have spent more on paint than on the cabinet + light). Hopefully he will like it. Hopefully it will come out as well as I’m envisioning. And thank the Time Lords, I have a neighbor/friend who helped me get the thing in the garage and has helped me do some repairs to the thing’s structure. Currently showing my appreciation to him (and his wife for loaning him) with baked goods. 🙂

      1. I have no social media presence/accounts (shocking, yet true). But if you can email me at that email address this site always asks for (and says is never made public)- I’ll send you a picture (unless it looks like total crap). Or maybe I can create a one-off google thing. I can investigate once I finish it and get food made for our New Year’s Eve dinner. Currently I have three coats of primer on it and wondering if this was a stupid idea. Project prep is boring, time-consuming, and annoying – except when the cat manages to break into the garage when one is covered in primer and your kids can’t hear you yelling to come and get the *@#! cat. Fortunately, for me (and Nicodemus (the cat)), he simply parked himself at the end of the room and watched for about 30 minutes until my youngest noticed the barricade had been shifted and opened the garage door. Sigh.

  2. I finished! And I have a link, but when I tried to post it here earlier, nothing ever loaded. I’ll try again tomorrow (if this manages to post)
