If you’ve been reading this comic for awhile, you probably remember when Joe was just a little guy who’s head barely peaked over the panels! And now he’s all grown up. So adorable.

Panel 1 (Ekko, Errol, Joe, and Keren are in the car) -
Errol: So Patricia knocks on her manager's door.
"knock knock knock!"
The manager says, "Come in," and Patricia goes in.
The manager says, "Ah, hello, Ms. Whack, what can I do for you?" and Patricia says, "I think I'd like to have a career change. Probably a lateral move within the company, whether it be this bank branch, or another. I was wondering if there were any openings?"
And the manager says, "Well, Ms. Whack, we just so happen to have an opening in our loan department. Would you be open to doing that?" And Patricia replies, "Oh! Yes. I would be interested in that."

Have you ever taken out a loan before, Joe? do you know what that is?
Joe: Uh, yeah.

Panel 2 -
Errol: Joe knows what a loan is? Leetle Joe is all growed up! Don't take out loans, though. You don't want to be stuck in the spiral of debt that has crippled many of our society. Admittedly, I say that ensconced in privilege, but still—

Panel 3 -
Ekko: You're so condescending.
Errol: "Condescending" is when someone talks down to you, Joe.
Joe: I know what that means.
Keren: It's best not to respond.
